Sustainability at IZZI Label

Sustainability is the foundation of IZZI Label. I believe that "what has been loved can be loved again," and I create one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate individuality, creativity, and care for the planet.

My Mission

I believe everyone deserves to shine bright and stand out in the crowd. By repurposing discarded fabrics into unique, joyful designs, I hope to inspire others to see beauty in what already exists and rethink the way fashion is made.

I Have always had a great love for fashion, during my studies, I realized the world doesn’t need more clothes—it needs a new approach. I often saw beautiful fabrics discarded for small flaws like a single hole. Instead of seeing these imperfections as obstacles, I work around them, letting creativity turn challenges into something extraordinary.

Why Upcycling Matters

Every garment I create tells a story—of waste turned into wonder, of fabrics given a second chance to shine. By transforming surplus materials, secondhand textiles, and discarded fabrics, I reduce waste while challenging the idea that fashion needs to come from something brand-new. My work highlights the potential of upcycling to reshape the industry and make sustainability a cornerstone of style.

Made Locally, Made Ethically

Every IZZI Label piece is handmade by me in my atelier in Arnhem, the Netherlands. This means:

  • No forced or underpaid labor. I oversee every step of the process, ensuring that each garment is created ethically and with care.
  • High-quality craftsmanship. I pour my heart and skills into each design, creating garments that are made to last.

Where Do I Source My Fabrics?

Every fabric I use is either deadstock or waste material, often generously donated by individuals and companies who would otherwise discard them. By repurposing these materials, I give them a second life, turning them into something extraordinary. If you’d like to contribute to my mission, fabric donations are always welcome and deeply appreciated.

How is your order packed?

Sustainability doesn’t stop at the clothes—I ensure my packaging reflects the same care for the planet. All orders are packed in unprinted, recyclable cardboard boxes to minimize waste. I also avoid plastics as much as possible, staying true to my commitment to reducing environmental impact.

Uniquely Yours

No two IZZI Label pieces are ever the same. Because I work with limited materials—often donated by local companies, friends, and family—my designs are shaped by what’s available. Holes, irregularities, or small fabric quantities spark my creativity, resulting in vibrant patchwork, bold layering, and asymmetrical details. This process ensures every garment is as unique as the person wearing it.

I understand that my prices can feel steep, and this may make sustainable fashion less accessible for some. However, they reflect true labor and fair wages—a commitment I hold dear. I also believe that when we invest in something meaningful, we cherish it more, care for it better, and ultimately enjoy it for much longer.

Circular Fashion for a Better Future

I dream of a future where all fashion is repurposed. By choosing sustainable fashion, you're helping me work toward this goal:

  • Diverting waste from landfills.
  • Reducing the need for virgin materials.
  • Showing that sustainable fashion can be bold, funky, and fun.

Turning Challenges into Creativity

Working with upcycled fabrics comes with its challenges—fragile materials, limited quantities, and unexpected issues. But these obstacles push me to innovate. By carefully selecting materials, designing around constraints, and providing care instructions, I ensure every piece I create is high-quality and built to last. In the future, I also hope to offer a repair service to keep your IZZI Label pieces going strong.

A Community Effort

The IZZI Label journey wouldn’t be possible without the amazing community around me. Local companies donate surplus fabrics, friends and family share materials, and I’ve even had people donate fabrics they no longer need. Every piece I make carries a story of collaboration and care. I’m always working to grow my connection with
